When Apple introduced their new iBook Textbooks many speculated that schools could justify buying more iPads as they would realize huge savings on textbooks. The guys at Gizmodo say this is not going to happen…yet.
One of the basic premises of the article is that the iPad has to be supplemented with a laptop which will cut into savings. Also they claim that due to the large file size of interactive textbooks, you’ll have to upgrade to more expensive iPad models with more storage.
